Grahame Southwick ‑ Fiji's very own world champion in Hobie sailing is now setting his sails on developing the next group of competitive Hobie sailors in the country.

The 71‑year‑old recently returned from the Hobie World Championships in Dapeng, China with his first world title in Hobie sailing.

Southwick and Sharon Rayner won the Hobie Great Grand Masters International Cup while representing Fiji at the event.

Fiji has competed in seven Hobie World Championships and this is the first time we have won a title from the event.

Southwick said Fiji has a group of talented competitive sailors who will continue to put the country on the map in as far as Hobie sailing is concerned.
