Southampton’s Shane Long scored the fastest goal in English Premier League history.

Long scored the goal 7.69 seconds into the first half breaking the previous record of 9.82 seconds which was set by Ledley King of Tottenham on 9th December 2000.

The match between Southampton and Watford ended in a 1 all draw.

Watford moved above Everton into seventh place to maintain their prospects of qualifying for the Europa League while Southampton's point means they are two places and six points above the relegation zone with three games remaining.
