South Africa 7s coach Neil Powell has picked the same 12 players that won in Dubai last week for this weekend’s Cape Town 7s.

It was an easy decision considering there were no injuries, but he has brought in Siviwe Soyizwapi as the 13th man.

Powell says all the players would love to play in their only home tournament on the circuit, so the result in Dubai made it easy for him to pick the team.

He says everyone returned fit from Dubai and will have the added motivation of playing in front of a very supportive home crowd.

The defending Cape Town champion is England who beat South Africa 19‑17 in last year’s final.

South Africa will play Russia, France and Kenya in Pool A of the competition tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Fiji will play Wales at 9.37pm tomorrow, they will then meet Canada at 12.58am Sunday before taking on Samoa at 4.19am Sunday.

The quarterfinals will start at 11.04pm Sunday, semifinals at 3.34am Monday while the final will be held at 6.44am Monday.

Looking at the HSBC World Rugby 7s Series points table, South Africa is leading with 22 points, New Zealand is in second place with 19 points, England is in third place with 17 points while Fiji is in fourth place with 15 points.
