Fiji National Sports Commission Executive Chairman Peter Mazey says some of the sporting grants have not been fully utilised by National Sporting organisations.
Mazey says this despite government grants being available under their short team expert grants, whereby national sporting organizations can get in overseas experts to help train their members.
He made the comments at the Fiji National Sports Commission National Sporting Organization Conference at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva this morning.
Mazey says scholarship grants available for athletes, coaches and technical officials to attend specialized training overseas have also been not taken up.
Mazey says the lack of interest in the use of these grants clearly shows that development currently is not a priority for most National Sporting Organizations.
