Melbourne Storm fullback Billy Slater has been ruled out of this week’s Round 1 of the NRL against the Bulldogs.
Slater will miss the opening round as a precaution with a shoulder complaint sustained in Storm’s World Club Challenge match.
The Storm’s 21‑man squad for Round 1 will be announced tomorrow as Fiji Bati winger Suliasi Vunivalu expected to be named and start on the wing.
The Storm will take on the Bulldogs at 10.05pm Saturday.
