Serena Williams has reached the quarterfinals of the U.S Open at Flushing Meadows for a 10th consecutive appearance — she wasn't there last year because she gave birth to her daughter during the tournament —
Williams picked her level up after a lull and used 18 aces to beat Kaia Kanepi of Estonia in 2 sets.
Six‑time US Open champion, Williams says that this is her job and this is what she does best as this is how she earns a living.
Meanwhile in another match, five‑time major champion Maria Sharapova improved in US Open night matches and returned to the fourth round by beating No. 10 seed Jelena Ostapenko in 2 sets.
Sharapova won the 2006 title at Flushing Meadows, but she's only been past the fourth round once since then.
