His on‑field contribution is finished for 2017 but Origin and Test prop Matt Scott is still helping to guide the Cowboys forward pack towards a second premiership, a premiership many say is impossible due to Scott's absence.
Scott ruptured his ACL in the Round 2 clash with the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium and with the loss of James Tamou and Ben Hannant in the off‑season left their front row stocks almost bare, leading many pundits to write off their chances of repeating their 2015 title.
Having undergone surgery on March 16, Scott has been coming into Cowboys headquarters to run the forward pack through video sessions with the coaching staff outlining how they can be better and areas they can improve.
The Cowboys will take on the Rabbitohs at 9.05pm Friday.
