Chiefs co‑captain and impending centurion Sam Cane knows this is where his team will really find some things out.
Having battled past plenty of injury setbacks, the Chiefs have set their Super Rugby campaign up in decent fashion, notching three wins from four and with some character‑building, come‑from‑behind efforts along the way.
A franchise‑record 61‑10 cruise past the Sunwolves in Tokyo last weekend injected more confidence, and allowed a few key bodies to rest, ahead of what now looms as an important period in their season.
The Chiefs enjoyed a 24‑15 win in their last meeting against the Highlanders ‑ in the opening round in Dunedin last year ‑ but before that it was the Highlanders who had a six‑game winning run against them.
The Chief will face the Highlanders at 6.35pm tomorrow while the Rebels will take on the Hurricanes at 8.45pm.
