Mexican heavyweight boxer Andy Ruiz has turned up in good shape and says he's prepared to fight to the death to win the WBO title in his heavyweight clash with Joseph Parker.
The 27‑year‑old Mexican arrived in Auckland yesterday.
Ruiz has an unbeaten run over 29 fights, with 19 knockouts.
The WBO title was vacated by Tyson Fury after revelations he was suffering from depression and drug addiction.
WBO gave the order for Parker and Ruiz to fight during its convention in Puerto Rico.
The bout is likely to be on 10 December.
Parker has an unbeaten run over 21 fights with 18 knockouts.
New Zealand’s Joseph Parker will meet Mexico’s Andy Ruiz for WBO heavyweight title at 7.30pm this Saturday.
