Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 122 to guide India to a straightforward six‑wicket win against South Africa in their opening Cricket World Cup match.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh is currently playing New Zealand.

India will now face Australia at 9.30pm this Sunday while South Africa will take on West Indies at 9.30pm next Monday.

Bangladesh take on England at 9.30pm this Saturday while New Zealand will play Afghanistan at 12.30am this Sunday.

Australia play West Indies at 9.30 tonight.

The group stage format is a round‑robin, where all ten teams play each other once, in a single group.

This means a total of 45 matches will be played, with each team playing a total of nine matches.

The top four teams from the group will progress to the knockout stage.

West Indies currently lead the points table, New Zealand are second, Australia are in third place while England come in fourth.

The final will be played on the 14th of July.
