20-year-old Esava Ratugolea in action for the Geelong Cats

Upcoming Australian Football League star with links to Fiji, Esava Ratugolea is making a name for himself in the competition this year.

The 20-year-old is the second player of Fijian heritage besides Nic Naitanui to make it big in the AFL competition in Australia.

Ratugolea is known for his high jumps and is ranked second in the vertical jump standing this year.

He is playing for the Geelong Cats in the ruckman and forward position.

Ratugolea made his debut against the Melbourne Demons in March this year.

He rocked the AFL competition as he has just been playing Aussie Rules for 6 years and was drafted by the Geelong Cats in the 2016 national draft.

Meanwhile Ratugolea’s dream is to play NRL but he took up Aussie Rules when his family moved to Victoria.

He is expected to play this weekend when the Geelong Cats takes on Collingwood at 5.20pm Sunday.
