Ratu Cakobau Park will re-open for games with spectators from this Saturday.

The Ratu Cakobau Park infrastructure sustained damages during Tropical Cyclone Yasa and Ana and had been closed since December 2020.

The Special Administrator for Nausori Uma Kant Patel says the Council funded and repaired Pavilion A, costing $200,000.

Patel says they got the OHS clearance which gives them the green light to re-open for games with spectators on Pavilion A only which has a capacity of 4000.

He adds Pavilion B, lights and fence requires major fixing and it will be an expensive affair and they have managed to secure additional funding from Fijian Government in mini budget to start fencing/pavilion B works.

Patel also says Red Leaf Pte Limited has exclusive naming rights for 3-years effective from April 2022.
