With Canberra's destiny out of their hands, the Raiders' finals aspirations have taken on blunt simplicity ahead of a dangerous clash with Newcastle.
The Raiders must beat the Knights at GIO Stadium tonight, before upsetting minor premiers Melbourne in a tough final‑round away fixture next week.
But even two wins might not be enough to keep the Raiders' dream alive as they currently sits at 10th place on the ladder.
Meanwhile Fiji Bati forward Daniel Saifiti will start for the Knights.
The Raiders will take on the Knights at 8 tonight while the West Tigers will take on the Cowboys at 9.50pm.
