FRU CEO John O’Connor confirms Semi Radradra will only be released for the Olympic Games.

He says they have made arrangements for Radradra’s release.

O’Connor confirms Radradra is expected to join the men’s national 7s team in Japan before the Tokyo Olympics 7s competition.

Rugby 7s at the Tokyo Olympics will be held from 26 July to 31 July 2021.

24 teams which includes 12 each for men and women will compete in the tournament.

The Fiji men’s 7s team will return to action after more than a year when we take on Australia at 4pm this Friday in the Oceania 7’s.

Fiji will then face Oceania 7s team at 9.30pm on the same day.

The national side has two more games on Saturday where they take on the All Blacks 7s team at 4.22pm and Australia at 9.30pm.

Fiji has two games on Sunday as well.

They take on Oceania 7s team at 2.30pm and New Zealand at 8.07pm.

There are six rounds of matches in the Oceania 7s where each team will play each other twice.

The highest-ranked team after six matches will be declared the winner.

Fiji last played in an international tournament in last year’s Vancouver 7s in March where they were beaten by New Zealand in the quarterfinal.
