Tailevu Zone champion Queen Victoria School aims to better their performance at this year’s Coca-Cola Games after finishing third in the overall boys medal tally last year and they are banking on their sprinter Senirusi Rauqe to scoop the Blue Ribbon title.

QVS fell short of the 2024 title after finishing with 5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.

This year, 54 athletes will be flying the QVS flag as they try to bring the prestigious title back to Tailevu.

Technical Advisor for the sprints and Coca-Cola Games 100 metres record holder, Banuve Tabakaucoro says the boys are ready for the three-day competition.

Tabakaucoro says he is happy to be back with QVS this year, giving his best effort and looking forward to seeing what the boys can deliver at the games.

He says despite the short preparation time following the Tailevu Zone, the boys remain focused on achieving their goals.

Tabakaucoro is also putting his money on Rauqe to win the Blue Ribbon title.

Rauqe finished 3rd last year with a time of 10.73 seconds.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from tomorrow to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
