Former Flying Fijians and Fiji 7s team coach Wayne Pivac says he would "very seriously" consider the chance to succeed fellow New Zealander Warren Gatland as the head coach of the Wales rugby team.
Pivac is currently the coach of the Scarlets rugby team in the PRO 12 competition in Wales.
He coached the Fiji 7s team to victory in the 2005 Rugby World Cup.
Gatland will leave the role after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Pivac took charge of Scarlets in 2014 and coached them to the Pro 12 title in 2016‑2017.
Pivac says if the opportunity arose he would probably take it.
Pivac’s Scarlets contract runs until the end of the 2019‑2020 season.
