They needed to score 134 runs to win and finished at 138 runs with five players out.

Pakistan’s opening players started well where Sahibzada Farhan scored 24 runs and Fakhar Zaman scored 17 runs but both got out early.

Sri Lankan bowlers Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga took important wickets to slow Pakistan down.

At one point, Pakistan was 80 runs for 5 wickets, and they still needed 54 runs to win.

Then, Hussain Talat and Mohammad Nawaz worked well together, scoring the needed runs calmly and helped Pakistan win with two overs left.

Before that, Sri Lanka had scored 133 runs but lost many wickets early.

Their player Kamindu Mendis scored 50 runs but it wasn’t enough as Pakistan’s bowlers, especially Shaheen Afridi, bowled well and took 3 wickets.

Sri Lanka tried to recover with some partnerships but lost wickets at crucial times and couldn’t score enough runs to win.

In the end, Pakistan played better under pressure and won the match.

Meanwhile, India and Bangladesh, who both won their first Super Four matches, will play against each other in Dubai tomorrow.

The top two teams in the Super Four stage will play in the final on Monday.
