Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro has confirmed to Fijivillage that he has started his training to take part in the 2019 Pacific Games.

Tabakaucoro says he has been back training on the track for the past six to seven months.

The Pacific Sprint King says that he had just returned from a knee injury and is preparing well.

When asked about his rugby career, Tabakaucoro says that his options remain open.

Tabakaucoro says that he has already qualified for the Pacific Games Men’s 200 metres and is yet to qualify for the 100 metres.

He says that he will not sit and depend on the current time that he has set during the qualifying trials.

Tabakaucoro says that he remains committed to his coach Bola Tafou and trainer Henry Elder in his preparation for the upcoming Pacific Games.

The 2019 Pacific Games will be held in Apia, Samoa in July next year.
