It’s now just over three weeks out from the much awaited boxing match between the legendary Floyd Mayweather and MMA’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.
Set to take place at the T‑Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 27th, the fight is being billed as perhaps the most lucrative fight in history, surpassing that of Mayweather’s clash with Manny Pacquiao back in 2015.
According to ESPN, there are still some 3000 tickets available in the arena, the cheapest of which have a face value of an eye‑watering US$3,500 on Ticketmaster. With capacity set in the region of 20,000, uptake of the tickets has been strong in the ten days since they were first released.
Much of the hundreds of millions of dollars that are expected to be generated from the fight will come from the pay‑per‑view subscriptions that should come in their millions.
The boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor will be held on the 27th of this month.
