Nothing is impossible, Vakatawa shares the heart of Naitasiri Rugby

Naitasiri inside centre Virimi Vakatawa says rugby is more than just a game — it’s about family, friendship, and representing his people.

Vakatawa’s message to young players is simple - that nothing is impossible.

He believes rugby can bring people together and give everyone a sense of belonging.

As the team prepares to face Ba again in Sigatoka this weekend, Vakatawa is confident in their readiness.

Vakatawa says they had a slow start last week, but they have learned from it and the coaches have put together a strong game plan, and the boys are ready to go.

Wearing the number 12 jersey, Vakatawa takes great pride in representing his province, family, and village.

He says it is always an honour to wear the Naitasiri jersey and play for his people.

The centre says he is grateful for another chance to make them proud.

He also praises the fans for their unwavering support, calling them the backbone of the team.

Vakatawa’s spirit and humility reflect the true heart of Naitasiri rugby — pride, perseverance, and the power of community. The Skipper Cup quarter-final between Naitasiri and Ba kicks off at 3pm Saturday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

In the other quarter finals, Nadroga plays Malolo at 1pm Saturday at Lawaqa Park while Lautoka meets Tailevu at 1pm and Suva faces Nadi at 3pm Saturday at Churchill Park.
