Former Fiji 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila is now a free man after being officially discharged today from the Fiji Corrections Service.

The Corrections Service confirmed that Nasilasila was escorted by officers from the Minimum Corrections Centre in Naboro and returned home to his family in Namatakula this morning.

They say his sentence was eight years with a non-parole period of six years, and he has now served his full term.

Nasilasila was imprisoned in 2019 for raping a 24-year-old woman on 22nd December 2018.

The incident took place at a settlement in Sigatoka.
