Fiji born winger Waisake Naholo will miss the All Blacks game at New Plymouth this weekend after a head knock he picked up in the Mitre 10 Cup last Saturday.
Rookie All Blacks tighthead prop Nepo Laulala will get a prime opportunity to establish himself in a full‑time test role after veteran Owen Franks was ruled out for the season.
Franks is to have season‑ending surgery on Friday to repair a chronic Achilles tendon problem, an issue that has plagued him for some time.
Head coach Steve Hansen confirmed in New Plymouth today that Franks would have an operation, but Sam Cane, Ryan Crotty and Wyatt Crockett had all been cleared to play against Argentina on Saturday after recovering from recent head knocks.
The All Blacks will take on Argentina at 7.35pm Saturday.
