Jose Mourinho has challenged his Manchester United players to beat Tottenham tomorrow after tearing into them for the second time in 48 hours following the shock defeat to Huddersfield.
Mourinho berated his team in the away dressing‑room at the John Smith’s Stadium last weekend in the wake of their first Premier League defeat of the season.
But the United boss was still fuming when the squad returned to training at Carrington.
It’s understood that he criticised the players’ attitude, and questioned the heart and hunger within the team.
A United source said that Mourinho had lost it and shouted at the players that it was not good enough and told them there is an expectation to win at United.
United and Tottenham who both have 20 points each and sit second and third respectively on the EPL points table will clash at 11.30pm tomorrow.
