Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee believes that Levani Botia’s move to play at number 7 has opened up interesting possibilities heading into the 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifier.
McKee says Botia has been lining up in the backrow for La Rochelle recently and playing very well.
He was named in the Midi Olympique (National Rugby Newspaper) Team of the Week for Top 14 for the round played last weekend.
McKee also confirmed that he does not have any influence on this move as it was completely La Rochelle’s.
McKee says his aim is always to select the best possible team with players who are in form.
He will travel to La Rochelle later this week and attend their home match against Bordeaux on Sunday.
