Vodafone Fiji 7s Olympic Gold Medalist Masivesi Dakuwaqa has signed a contract with the Canberra Raiders until the end of the season.
Dakuwaqa missed out on selection for the Paris 7s as he was in the process of departing Fiji to join the Raiders in Australia last week.
The 24-year-old played rugby league in secondary school before making a switch to rugby union where he made his debut last year.
Having only arrived in Canberra yesterday, Dakuwaqa says he was looking forward to start training with the team.

Dakuwaqa joins the few Fijians who have represented the Raiders with the likes of Sisa Waqa and Noa Nadruku.
