Marist and Lomary lead Suva Zone II medal tally

The final day of Suva Zone II starts in the next hour with Marist Brothers High School and Lomary Secondary School leading the medal tally.

Lomary Secondary School have four gold medals in the girl’s division while defending champion, Suva Grammar School is second with one gold medal.

Lomary Secondary School has dominated the 1,500 and 3,000 metres events.

Makereta Adi of Lomary Secondary School won her second gold medal in the girls 3,000 metres open yesterday afternoon.

Adi is aiming to win the 800 metres race again today.

Maria Qaloula of Nuku Secondary School settled for silver while Maria Saudromu of Ratu Latianara College got bronze.

On Tuesday, Lomary Secondary School won three gold medals at the Suva Grammar School ground where the girls 1,500 metres finals took place.

In the Junior Girls 1,500 metres, Makereta Adi of Lomary Secondary School finished first.

Maria Ranadi of Lomary Secondary School got gold in the Intermediate Girls 1,500 metres.

Amele Likuwaqa of Lomary Secondary also won gold in the Senior Girls 1,500 metres.

Suva Grammar School got one gold through Fane Fifita in the Sub-Junior Girls 1,500 metres.

The first gold medal in the boy's division at the Suva Zone II has gone to Marist Brothers High School.

Ramasibani Navunicagi of Marist won gold in the boys 3,000 metres open.

Moses Rounds of Lomary Secondary School settled for silver while Zaccheous Smith of Marist got bronze.

Suva Grammar School is the defending champion of Suva Zone II.
