Mount St Mary’s Primary School and Nadi Airport School win Primary Schools Championship

Marist Brothers High School has won the boys division of the National Secondary Schools Swimming Championship with 25 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze while Swami Vivekananda College won the girls division with 16 gold, 14 silver and 12 bronze.

Mount St Mary’s Primary School won the boys division in the primary school competition with 14 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze while Nadi Airport School won the girl's division 11 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals.

4 national schools swimming records were also broken.

14-year-old Kelera Mudunakoso of SVC broke the record in the 100m breaststroke event in the U-14 grade with a time of 1:17.70.

In the under 13-14 freestyle event, Matelita Naisara of Veiuto Primary School set a new record with a time of 2:54.45.

Thaddeus Kwong of Fiji Agape Mission School also set a new record in the boys under 12 backstroke with a time of 33.44 while Reuben Taylor from the Barracuda Swim Club in Nadi set a new record in the boys under 13-14 freestyle event with a time of 2:26.02.
