All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster says last year's loss to Australia in the third and final Bledisloe Cup match still hurts.
Ending a 26‑month winless stretch against their New Zealand rivals, the Wallabies were jubilant after their 23‑18 win in Brisbane, despite the match being a dead rubber.
Asked if the match was motivating the All Blacks ahead of next weekend's Rugby Championship opener in Sydney, Foster admitted they certainly hadn't forgotten about it.
The result not only lingered for the All Blacks, it is also the reason coach Steve Hansen earlier this week labelled the Wallabies favourites for next Saturday's clash.
