The Sharks have confirmed that Springbok flyhalf Patrick Lambie will captain the Sharks through the 2017 Super Rugby season.

Sharks Coach Robert du Preez made the announcement and called Lambie a natural leader.

Kwazulu‑Natalian Lambie is well‑known for being a level‑headed player, who has ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

Lambie says it is a huge honour to again captain the Sharks.

The 2017 Super Rugby season will start on the 23rd of next month.
