The Labasa Soccer Team has won the Pillay Garments Champion Versus Champion series in dramatic fashion after beating Ba 2-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Ratu Anare Apenisa was the hero for the side who scored twice in the match, including an injury time winner.
Ratu Anare had given Labasa a 1-0 lead in the first half lead before Vanuatu international Micah Tommy equalized for Ba in the second half.
Ba looked well on their way to yet another CVC success on away goal rule before Ratu Anare sneaked in to steal the victory for the Babasiga Lions.
This is Labasa’s fourth CVC title.
Labasa’s hero, Ratu Anare dedicated the win to his family.
This was also the sides third major title in a row after winning the Inkk Mobile BOG and Courts IDC last year.
