Wallabies centre Tevita Kuridrani vows he will be the ACT Brumbies back‑line leader as he braces for a fight to keep his Test spot.
The soft spoken Fijian powerhouse is the most experienced player in the Brumbies back line and will be crucial to helping young halves Joe Powell and Wharenui Hawera to settle into their roles.
Kuridrani faces competition from the Reds star Samu Kerevi, NSW Waratah Israel Folau and NRL convert Curtis Rona.
Kuridrani says the pressure will help him play better rugby and he will have to keep pushing himself to get better.
Meanwhile, the Sharks defeated the Brumbies 27-22.
In other games, the Stormers beat the Jaguares 32‑25, the Hurricanes thrashed the Rebels 71‑6, the Cheetahs beat the Bulls 34‑28, the Lions defeated the Waratahs 55‑36 while the Kings beat the Sunwolves 37‑23.
