Vodafone Fiji 7s lanky forward Mesulame Kunavula is aiming to make the final 14 for the Paris 7s.
Kunavula says being part of the Hong Kong 7s last month was the best experience in his rugby career.
The 21-year-old alongside Kalione Nasoko, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Setareki Bituniyata have impressed coach Gareth Baber this season.
Baber says these are the future of the Fiji 7s team.
The final 14 is expected to be named today while the team will be leaving for Paris on Friday.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Samoa and Russia at the Paris 7s which will be held from the 13th to the 15th of this month.
Meanwhile Fiji still have a chance to defend the series title but they will have to rely on other teams to stop South Africa from reaching the Medal quarter finals in Paris and London.
South Africa just need to reach at least the Challenge Trophy final for both tournaments.
The equation for Fiji to defend the title is to win both tournaments and earn 44 points but hope that South Africa do not reach both quarterfinals.
