From the highlands of Namosi to AMMI Stadium, Marika Koroibete could not ask for more as he is living every Fijian boy’s dream to be successful in their rugby career.

Koroibete who is now a household name after stamping his mark in the NRL shares how he managed to make the team week in week out with fellow countryman and upcoming star Suliasi Vunivalu in the Melbourne Storm.

Koroibete says to be selected for the run on side for the Storm is quite similar to being selected in the Kangaroos or the Kiwis.

He says hard work and dedication has pushed them to their limits especially reflecting on their hardships they faced back home in Fiji.

The 24-year-old from Navaiyaga village, Namosi says watching Vunivalu develop and break records was a blessing and a proud moment for him.

He adds that he always counts Vunivalu as his young brother on the field and said being part of the Storm is a great achievement.

The Storm will await the winner of the Panthers and Raiders clash this Saturday where they will meet next week in the semifinals.

Looking at the draws for week 2 of the NRL finals series, the Cowboys will meet the Broncos at 9.55pm Friday while the Raiders will meet the Panthers at 9.45pm Saturday.
