Koroi and Rokolisoa missing as NZ 7s name squad for Tokyo Olympics

The All Blacks 7s team has named its squad for the Tokyo Olympics with Vilimoni Koroi and Akuila Rokolisoa both omitted from the 12 member team.

All Blacks wing Caleb Clark is the other major omission who had opted not to play in the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman in a bid to play in the Olympics.

The squad includes captain Scott Curry, Tim Mikkelson, Kurt Baker, Dylan Collier, Sam Dickson, Andrew Knewstubb, Ngarohi McGarvey-Black, Sione Molia, Tone Ng Shiu, Etene Nanai-Seturo, Regan Ware and Joe Webber.

New Zealand is in Pool A with Australia, Argentina and South Korea.

Meanwhile Fiji 7s team coach Gareth Baber is expected to name his side in a few days time.

The Olympic Rugby 7s competition will be held from the 26th to the 31st of July.
