The shoulder injury which kept All Blacks captain Kieran Read from playing for the Crusaders against the Stormers this morning could also sideline him against the Blues on Saturday night.
Crusaders No 8 Read was scratched ahead of their contentious 19‑19 draw with the Stormers at Newlands, having taken a knock to his shoulder/neck in the lead‑up to the match.
The Crusaders have now drawn three matches this season , including the cancelled match against the Highlanders in March and against the Sharks.
In other matches, the Lions defeated the Highlanders 38‑29, the Waratahs beat the Reds 40‑32 while Blues outclassed the Chiefs 23‑8.
On Friday night, the Jaguares defeated the Hurricanes 28‑20 while the Bulls beat the Rebels 32‑17.
