Karan breaks national 5000m record

Former Tavua College long distance runner and Pacific Games 10,000 metres champion Yeshnil Karan has broken Fiji’s 5000 metres national record with a time of 14 minutes and 29.50 seconds at the Australian Athletics Championship in Adelaide, Australia.

The previous record of 14 minutes and 31.73 seconds was set by him in Brisbane, Australia in 2023.

Karan has been competing in many international competitions and has been improving on his time.
