Kadavu women’s rugby team captain and flyhalf Vatiseva Cavuru confident of upset against Suva

Kadavu women’s fly-half and captain, Vatiseva Cavuru aims to use her playmaking skills to steer the team’s game plan and create an upset tomorrow against Suva in the Subrail’s Marama Cup semi-final.

Cavuru impressed national selectors with her recent performances, earning a call-up to the Fijiana 15s side that faced Australia’s Manly Rugby Club.

She says the team is prepared for their showdown against Suva tomorrow and she is confident in their strategy.

Kadavu’s line-up will also feature flanker Una Vadua and centre Sereima Rauqe, who represented Fiji this year and are expected to bring added pace and strength to the back-line.

The Kadavu Rugby Union has called on supporters in Suva to wear black tomorrow.

Kadavu made history last month by defeating Nasinu 37-31 to claim the Bosco Trophy for the first time at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Kadavu will take on Suva at 11am tomorrow while Namosi will play Nasinu in the first semi final at 9am.
