Kadavu Rugby stays strong despite financial struggles

The Kadavu Rugby Union team is showing resilience despite financial and preparation challenges ahead of the 2025 Vodafone Vanua Championship

Team manager Mataiasi Daveta says while the Fiji Rugby Union grant has been reduced and is not enough to cover expenses, the team continues to receive strong backing from people in the village and families abroad.

He says the players remain motivated and physically fit, making use of local competitions and gym facilities in Suva to prepare.

Daveta adds that while limited time for preparation has been a challenge, the many rugby competitions in Kadavu have helped keep the players in good condition.

Kadavu will take on Nasinu at 2pm tomorrow at Ratu Kadavulevu Park in Nausori.
