An invitation has been sent to Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber to attend the Tiliva 7s at the end of this month.
Tiliva 7s Committee member Lynda Tabuya says they have secured the services of some international referees for the tournament and are hoping that Baber will travel to Kadavu to get a glimpse of Island rugby.
24 teams have been confirmed to participate at the tournament.
Organisers say rugby has died out in Kadavu over the years and this tournament will help motivate the youth on the island to get back into rugby.
The prize money is $5000 and teams that reach the quarter finals and semi-finals will also receive cash prizes.
The Tiliva 7s will be held at the Tiliva District Primary School grounds in Nakasaleka, Kadavu on the 27th and the 28th of this month.
