England goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford who made some crucial saves in the FIFA World Cup quarter-final match against Sweden says he was not born when England last played the semi-final in a World Cup.

England last played the semi-final of the World Cup in 1990, while Pickford was born in March 1994.

Pickford says when he made the first save, that set up him for the rest of the game.

He adds that they always said they would take one game at a time and they can go on and create their own history.

Goals from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli ensured that England qualified for their first semi-final at the FIFA World Cup since 1990.

England will now play Croatia in the second semi-final of the World Cup at 6am Thursday.

Meanwhile, in the first semi-final Belgium will play France at 6am Wednesday.
