Anthony Joshua says he did not feel like a genuine heavyweight world champion before April's victory over Wladimir Klitschko.
The 28‑year‑old Brit‑ who faces Carlos Takam in Cardiff on Sunday ‑ won the IBF title in 2016 but stopped Klitschko after 11 rounds at Wembley Stadium to add the WBA crown.
Anthony says he became a champion because of what he went through with Klitschko and adds that those type of fights have championship status written all over them.
Cameroon‑born Takam, is around five inches shorter than the 6ft 6in unbeaten champion and has never challenged for a recognised world title in a 39‑fight career which contains three defeats.
Joshua has 19 pro fights under his belt winning each fight by knockout.
The two boxers confirmed the fight on September 5, with the bout to take place in Cardiff at around 9am this Sunday.
