Hurricanes assistant coach Jason Holland is expecting a starchy response from the Melbourne Rebels and his old Munster coaching colleague Tony McGahan after their opening round shellacking at the hands of the Blues.
Holland says that he knows the Rebels are better than the team they showed in the 56-18 defeat.
He says that he is expecting a rugged contest this Saturday as this will also be the first time they front their home crowd since last August.
Meanwhile, Holland says that lock Blade Thomson has dislocated his shoulder in Tokyo and is due for a scan soon, while Corey Jane is at least a fortnight away from training as he is still training without contact.
The Hurricanes play the Rebels at 4.15pm this Saturday.
Meanwhile the Chiefs take on the Blues at 6.35pm this Friday.
