Hundreds of mourners have gathered at Church United in Te Atatu, Auckland, to farewell former All Black Sione Lauaki.
25-year-old Lauaki died last week after suffering from cardiovascular problems.
The hard‑hitting rugby player was a hardworking and loyal Chiefs who first won All Blacks selection in 2005.
He played 17 tests for New Zealand.
Sione Lauaki's wife Stephanie gave a beautiful tribute, telling mourners Sione was "the person we all needed him to be".
She said the way that he loved is now something that she sees in their children.
