Vodafone Flying Fijians Coach John McKee says they were focused on maintaining their top ten status in the World Rugby Rankings and this was a motivating factor in the 38-25 win over Japan yesterday.
McKee says it was critical for them to get a victory after suffering losses against England and Barbarians.
The Fiji 15's team will now turn their focus on the Wallabies who they will play on June 10th next year before hosting Scotland and Italy.
McKee says they will also be playing against Samoa and Tonga in July next year which will be part of the Rugby World Cup qualification.
