The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians last pool match against Wales tonight will be crucial in determining whether Fiji automatically qualifies for the 2023 Rugby World Cup or will have to earn a place through the intensive qualification process.

Fiji currently sit in third place in Pool D with 7 points, Australia is in first place with 11 points and Wales is second with 9 points.

Flying Fijians Coach, John McKee says Fiji must maintain a strong momentum for the full 80 minutes to mount pressure and create scoring opportunities as Wales are renown for their defensive work rate and strength in the breakdowns.

Fiji has played against Wales three times in the Rugby World Cup; 2007, 2011 and 2015. We only beat Wales 38-34 in 2007.

Fiji is fielding a strong and stable forward pack with some quality finishers in the backline such as Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova and Mckee will be relying on this combination to counter the Welsh upfront.

Fiji will face Wales at 9.45 tonight.
