Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy is happy that Dale Finucane has signed on for a further four years, helping the club avoid "disaster".
The club has lost Jordan McClean's to North Queensland –in addition to the exits of Kevin Proctor and soon‑to‑be‑departing Tohu Harris.
Bellamy says he remembers watching Finucane playing for the Bulldogs and wanting him at the club and he is grateful that he is staying.
The Storm will play the Tigers at 5pm Sunday.
