The Telecom Fijiana has defeated Russia 19-17 to win fifth place play-off of the Las Vegas 7s.
The Fijiana finished their tournament off with discipline.
Lavenia Tinai took a little bit of brilliance to break the lines as she spotted a gap and accelerated straight between two Russian defenders to score the Fijiana’s first try.
Their second try came from Merewai Cumu after the Fijiana won a counter ruck allowing her to stretch her legs up to the try line.
The Fijiana’s third try came from their patience and using every inch of the field, once again it was Lavenia Tinai who took it to a different level and left Baizat Khamidova clutching at thin air.
Meanwhile Timaima Ravisa is being selected in the Las Vegas 7s Women’s Dream Team.
