Fijiana XVs fall short in hard-fought 31–24 loss to the USA

The Vodafone Fijiana XVs put up a strong fight but lost 31–24 to the USA in their one-off test match this morning.

The USA led 26–14 at halftime through four tries and three conversions while Fiji responded with two converted tries.

Fiji fought back strongly in the second half to close the gap with 10 points, but an unconverted try by the hosts proved enough to seal the win.

The team will now return to Fiji to prepare for their next match, where they will host Samoa at 12pm on the 9th of next month at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
