The Fijiana 15's team is aiming to create history as the first ever women's rugby test in Fiji will played at the ANZ Stadium today.
The Fijiana 15's team last played a test match in 2006.
Coach and former Flying Fijians international Seremaia Bai says they have only had a few weeks together and are missing a lot of experience with the Fijiana 7s players unavailable for selection, because they are preparing for the Oceania Sevens Championship.
He says PNG will be a tough team to encounter and they will not take them lightly.
The winner of this one off match will take their place alongside two Asian teams in the final qualifying event for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 in Hong Kong in December.
The top two sides from this tournament will complete the 12 team line-up at the World Cup in Ireland which runs from 9th to 26th August next year.
The match will kick off at 3pm today with tickets being sold at $5 flat at the Fiji Sports Council Office in Suva.
