Vodafone Fijiana 15’s coach Mosese Rauluni has stressed the importance of winning the upcoming two test matches against the Japanese Women’s XVs side as it will boost their standings in the Women’s overall rankings.

Rauluni says they really need to win both tests to improve their World rankings because it speaks for itself.

He says they are aware of what the Japanese side possesses in terms of their physicality and they will try to utilise these two matches to build their depth for the Women’s Rugby World in England next year.

He says ranking is very important and now it’s about building their depth.

He adds that if they don’t do the processes, then they will drop in the ranking again and it is important to take one game at a time and be sharp with everything they do.

Japan head coach Lesley McKenzie says they are also trying to build their player base because one of their goal towards the World Cup is to have more players available and at a greater physical level than they have been before.

The Fijiana will take on Japan at 6pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in their first test match.

The second test match will be at 6pm next Thursday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Tickets are $15 for the grandstand and $5 for grass seating and children under 12 will enjoy free admission.
